We have been so blessed to have Holly McMillen {aka Toy} as one of our Guest Designers. Holly's two-month Guest Designer term was February and March. So before she leaves us, we wanted to sit down and have a little chat with Holly about some stamping (and other) things! Grab a chair and join us!

It's time once again for a trip down memory lane. Speaking of lane, let's take a stroll down the Path of Life. I thought that was a pretty clever segue!
If you're a new-comer to Our Daily Bread designs, then it is our hope that we are introducing you to the many sets that were previously released. The gorgeous garden scene depicted in the Path of Life set was complimented with the perfect scriptures:
Just look at the different coloring styles you can play with - from clear blue skies to sunsets to even a monochromatic look!

By: Angel Wilde
Didn't all that lush greenery just make you want to bask in the glory of that garden? We're sure this set will be a favorite in your ODBD collection!

Well actually, today's spotlight is not a card, but an art project. Angie is a Bread Basket member (a.k.a. the ODBD Design Team) who is a gifted and talented stamper. One doesn't have to wonder why we zeroed in on one of her creations once you visit her gallery. We were just speechless when she created this piece of art!
Our first reaction was "WOW!" Second and third reactions were "WOW!!" and "WOW!!!" Notice the increasing amounts of exclamation marks? We think you get the point. With creativity and imagination Angie was able to turn this Footprints single stamp set to the work of art you see above:
Angie's blog, Quacking Creations, and her ODBD Card Gallery are worth the visit. You'll be inspired by her work!
With the size and details of Our Daily Bread designs' stamps they are not limited to just cardmaking, but lend themselves to a wide array of altered projects!

I have to tell you a little story about Bread Basket {aka Design Team) member Betty Wright. It's maybe doesn't sound like much, but it meant a lot to me. I had always admired Betty's work on Splitcoast, and we got to know each other through challenges and comments. One week Betty was the Featured Stamper, and somehow the next week we needed a Basic Gray ink pad for a Color Challenge, I think. I didn't have one and made the comment on the challenge thread (to no one in particular) that I would have to substitute something for it. Betty sends me a PM (personal message) and said she would send me hers, because she never used it! She didn't even really know me at the time. I thought it was such a sweet gesture! And I have used that Basic Gray ink pad a LOT! The very next week, Betty was announced as one of the new Dirty Dozen members on Splitcoast. I was really excited for her, and thought my Basic Gray pad was now extra special! LOL
Betty is a real sweetheart, and I am happy to share some of her thoughts and answers with you today!
How long have you been stamping, and how did you start?
I have been stamping for about 7 years.
How long have you been on the ODBD DT?
I think I started in November or December of 2008.
How would you describe your "style"?
I would describe my style as Executive Flair! What is that? Well, I think of the clean modern look of an executive’s office and desk with very minimal furnishings. Yet, there is symmetry, balance of color, and details that adds a richness to the room that says stylish. The flair part is a little poetic license with this design style from time to time.
What was the first stamp you ever bought?
I think it was a two-step stamping set from SU.
Describe the "weirdest" stamp you have.
I have a sentiment stamp that says….”never step in anything soft.” I think that is pretty weird because it can only imply ONE thing, right? A whole stamp devoted to that? What is odd? I bought it!!!!!
What is your favorite medium to work with?
Lately I have started dabbing with permanent markers and copics. I use permanent markers only because I do not have enough copics. NEED MORE COPICS!!!
What is your favorite technique?
Dry embossing with my cuttlebug. It is fast and easy…and LOOKS great!!! Does that count?
What is your favorite or most used tool? (Other than the basics: adhesive, scissors, etc.)
Embossing folders and die cuts. The cuttlebug is the machine I use with those!!!!
What inspires you in your stamping?
I love looking all around me for inspiration. From magazine adds, commercials, billboard signs. I am forever looking for sketches and color combos.
What is one of the top items on your stamping wish list?
I eventually want to own a Spellbinder die cut machine and at least 50 more Copic markers!!!!
What is one food you couldn't live without?
Mexican....is that ONE? LOL
Is there a song title that reflects your personality?
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow“!!!! I LOVE color and I am sort of out there!!!! LOL!!!!
Do you have any friends that understand your addiction? (Other than your stamping friends that live in the computer)
NO!!!! No one other than my computer friends understands what I do. I am through justifying my behavior (hiding in a craft room all day) to people. I just do not mention it. My husband RARELY asks what I did today because he does NOT want to hear the answer.
Thank you, Betty, for your kind words to everyone in the Bread Basket, and for your beautiful art work! Here is one of my favorite cards of Betty's:
And now for a WINNER from the Scripture Scramble Contest during Anniversary Week!

We had a BLAST during the week long anniversary celebration that rang in Our Daily Bread designs' first year! We hope you all had just as much fun as we did and those that won blog candy along the way...CONGRATULATIONS!
Today, we are spotlighting a card made by a talented rubber stamper name Kathy Jones!
She did a fantastic job with the Angel set! We love how she mounted the angel with foam adhesive and staggered the scallop circles which created a gorgeous focal point. The decorative corners blended well with the background paper and the beautiful blue hues made it a truly heavenly card. Thank you for sharing your gift with us, Kathy!
If you'd like to view more of Kathy's work, you can see them in her ODBD card gallery and on her blog, Inspired To Stamp.
Come back again on Friday for Flashback Friday Favorite!

Happy Anniversary! We are One Year Old today!
It’s a Celebration!! Yes, you may be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but we are also celebrating the One-year Anniversary here at Our Daily Bread designs! It was one year ago today that owner Kelley Holland began her adventure. What a fun adventure it has been and look where we are a year later! Great products and inspirational stamps that have touched many.
Thanks for stopping in on your way through our first Blog Hop. If you didn’t know about our Blog Hop and landed here by chance, there are goodies for you along the way and it’s important to hit the blogs in the order of the Hop. You’ll want to start out with Dina at Mama Dina’s Stamperia. If you came here from Angella's blog then you are in the right place! There is blog candy along the way, so be sure to start at the beginning of the Hop so you don’t miss it!
For a special grand prize, we are playing “Scripture Scramble!” Each blog has one or two words that you can collect at each stop and put together to make a scripture verse (NIV edition). Once you have collected all the words, send the verse in the correct order, along with the scripture reference by EMAIL to our DT Coordinator, Judy Rozema, at lidaroseroz@gmail.com. Correct entries will be put into a hat and the Grand Prize winner will receive a set of their choosing from Our Daily Bread designs AND a selection of cards made especially for this celebration by some of the Design Team members. How cool is that?! Entries must be received by MIDNIGHT CST on Thursday, March 19. Again, email entries to Judy!
Here are the final Scripture Scramble words: daily, bread
Speaking of scriptures, today is the release of two new scripture sets:
Each of the Design Team members chose a verse that is special to them and Kelley made them all into two special anniversary sets that are available for purchase today! Click HERE to go to the ODBD Store!
One last special stop - visit Nancy Morgan, one of the original DT members, at Paper Smiles. She has some beautiful eye candy to show you! Anyone leaving her a comment will get two entries in the Scripture Scramble! (No need to let Judy know - she will keep track!)
And look at the beauty Guest Designer Sandee Shanabrough made with Kelley's favorite verse:
Thank you for sharing in our special week! We have had a lot of fun and hope that you have too!
